Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist

Hannah is an expert Respiratory Physiotherapist. She qualified with a BSC (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2006 and has 17 years of physiotherapy experience, 14 years of which have been working in respiratory medicine and 8 within paediatric respiratory medicine. Hannah is currently working as a paediatric respiratory physiotherapist who specialises in cystic fibrosis and general medicine. Hannah has a keen interest in the long term care and management of children with long term neuro-disabilities. These patients make up a large amount of her inpatient case load. She has over 14 years’ experience in treating patients, both adults and children with acute and long term respiratory conditions. This experience has included both inpatient, outpatient and community settings and involved treating patients from acute deterioration in an on-call situation, to visiting them at home or at school and supporting families and carers to provide the highest level of care. A large part of her role is to assess patients current respiratory condition and provide the treatment required to either improve or maintain their current status. I am also responsible for teaching families and carers how to perform physiotherapy techniques, use equipment such as cough assists, and how to perform suction and position management.
